Ministry to Minors Class
For those of you who are interested in working with Children in AWANA, nursery, or children’s church you MUST take the Ministry to Minors Class. We will have a class this Wednesday, Sept 14th, right after the AWANA Training. It will be from 8:30 to 9:00 at the Church office. Please sign up on the sheet at the back table. Women’s Bible Study Starting Up
Women’s Bible Studies will begin Monday, Sept. 12. This fall we will go through the book Spiritual Mothering by Susan Hunt. The study will be offered three times: Monday mornings, 7:00-8:30 at Meg Callander’s home in Maple Grove, Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 at the Albertville City Hall and Tuesday evenings, 7 pm at Meg Callander’s. Childcare ($20) available ONLY at the Tuesday morning study. Sign ups at the back table. We are also seeking extra help with childcare on Tuesday mornings. Helpers Wanted
Would you like to help out? There are a number of projects at NWBC that you might be able to complete. Do you have an ability to do body repair work on our truck? Talk to Mike Bjokne. Would you enjoy straightening up the church office? Check with Pastor. How about some simple phone wiring? You can email contact@nwbc.mn or speak to a deacon for more information.
Registration Deadline: Women’s Fall Retreat
Registration is due Sept. 11. Please turn in money and registration forms to Lori Agrimson. Retreat flyers are on the back table.
AWANA Helper Training
Training will be on Wednesday, September 14th at 7:00pm at STME. It is very important for all helpers to be there! If you have not taken the Ministry for Minors class, you will need to do that before helping. Please see Chase Elgard with any questions.
Men’s Bible Study
This Fall the men will study a book titled “The Gospel for Real Life,” by Jerry Bridges. This study considers the following: “The gospel of Jesus Christ is the door to eternal life, but what difference does it make once we’re inside God’s kingdom? Jerry Bridges says the Gospel is the very lifeblood of our walk with God. It is the key to our salvation, for sure, but it is also the power for our daily progress in holiness.” The 3-5 man small groups that ran through the summer will continue, and we are hoping to start some new groups. If you haven’t been involved but would like to get started, sign up at the information table or speak to Mike Peterson.

Grab Your Basket, It’s Picnic Time!
NWBC/PLBC Annual Picnic is this Sunday, August 28th! We will begin at 4pm with Softball etc., the meal to be served at 5 pm, and the worship service with PLBC will follow the picnic. The main course, beverages, and paper products will be provided by NWBC. We are asking each family to bring a large salad. Parkers Lake will provide dessert. Rosie is asking for a few volunteers to help set up and serve. Any questions please contact Rosie Ganzel.
YG Parents Meeting
This meeting is extremely crucial to the moving forward of the Youth Group and we ask that all the parents of our teens be present at this meeting as there are many important items that need to be discussed. To try to make it so that every parent is able to come to the meeting we have decided to have this meeting on the same evening as the Church Business Meeting, August 24th. We will be starting promptly at 6pm as the Business meeting starts at 7pm. As far as location goes we will also be meeting at the St. Michael Elementary to make it easy to transition into the Business Meeting. Volunteers Needed
We are looking for two different couples (either husband and wife with teen or a couple of ladies with teen) to commit in watching the nursery during the Adult Sunday School class this fall. If we get two different groups we can split it up for the first 4 weeks and the following 5 weeks. The 2-3′s will have a class so the nursery will be the infants through one year of age.
