Youth Group

November 17th, 2008

We meet every Sunday night (year round) at 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the Dewey’s home. Available to 7th -12th graders.  This fall we are studying “Do Hard Things”.  There is an emphasis on a Bible Study coupled with building positive friendships. This is a growing group of teenagers. They are a vital part of our church family! We highly value youth and truly strive to have vibrant ministry to the entire family.  Our leaders are the Dewey’s, the Schmoyer’s, the Bjokne’s, and Ben McClellan.

Nursery

November 17th, 2008

We offer nursery at St. Michael Elementary School during all services on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. It is provided for children 2 years of age and under. Our nursery is staffed by an experienced, safe, and caring team of ladies from our church. They are the best. Your child will be in loving hands as we partner with you to provide a great environment for your family. Our nursery has organized policies that help regulate a clean, healthy, and safe place for your baby. Of course, questions and family interaction are welcome!

AWANA

November 17th, 2008

Awana LogoThis exciting Bible based club ministry is offered during the school year to all children ages 4 through 6th grade. An emphasis is placed on learning God’s Word through an effective memorization plan, active classes, great group times filled with music, puppets, games, and more. This time tested international ministry has been used to effectively reach children for decades. We are so pleased to be able to have it as a large part of our overall ministry to families.Cubbies Logo

There are individual classes for all ages with a dynamite adult to child ratio. Our workers are competent, compassionate, caring, and just plain cool! Achievement is highly encouraged through a positive system of awards and rewards. The kids in our church simply love AWANA. We think your kids will too. AWANA runs through the school year on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at St. Michael Elementary School. There is a modest one-time fee suggested for participants to help cover the cost of the curriculum and some of the supplies. To register your child, simply come a few minutes early on any Wednesday night, so that we can get them plugged in!

Wednesday School

November 17th, 2008

During the summer months we run an active “Wednesday School.” Wednesday School is simply a traditional Sunday School style ministry to children. Individual classes are offered for children from age 2 all the way through 12th grade. The curriculum is Bible based and geared to be age appropriate. We have excellent experienced teachers. This program is well organized and supervised as well as infused with great energy and passion. We strongly believe that a Bible education is very important for families. Wednesday School is a big part of our overall educational plan for children, particularly through the summer. It meets on Wednesday nights from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at St. Michael Elementary School.

Children’s Church

November 17th, 2008

Parents Resource Page for Children\'s ChurchOn Sunday mornings during the sermon time, we offer a separate class for three year olds through Kindergartners.  If your two  year old can sit still for this class, they can attend instead of staying in the nursery.  During this time the children enjoy a Bible story (with a coordinating coloring page), sing, and memorize simple Bible verses or phrases.  The curriculum we use is from “Children Desiring God” and its goal is to fuel spiritual desire in children by exalting the greatness and worth of God and His glorious work through Christ.

We recognize that  parents are the primary faith nurturers of their children, so we make available a Parent Resource Page that informs you of the story, Scripture reference and key theme of the lesson each week.  This provides you with suggested discussion questions to assist you in reinforcing and building upon the truth  presented in class.  You can download this page in .pdf format by clicking on the image to the left.
