A Call To Praise Him
Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases; he redeems my life from the pit and crowns me with love and compassion.

WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT
The good Lord chose to bring my sisters only child, Reid (24), into His presence May 17th. It was totally unexpected and a shock to everyone who knew him. The sadness brought on by this void in our lives will only be softened by time, the knowledge that God is in control, and that Reid is in the presence the Lord today and forever.

LITMUS TEST
And this is the testimony; God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. I John 5:11-13 These verse’s are assuring us of our position in Jesus Christ concerning our salvation. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 These verse’s tell us that once we are saved, absolutely nothing can take that position away from us.

Child Like Faith
I was reminded the other day of how Jesus used a child as an example of how we are to be, to enter the kingdom of heaven. At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. Matthew 18:1-5

Who Are We Kidding?
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. II Corinthians 10:4-5

UNCERTIAN TIMES
My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power. I Corinthians 2:4-5
Wow! The content of this passage and what came before it and after it really hit home for me. If you are

Looking the Other Way
I was reading through an article the other day which made me start thinking about just where my priorities really are.
The Bible is full of “last days prophecies”, some of which have come to pass, and some which have not. I’d like to share a few of these with you and see if you come to the same conclusion that I did.
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. II Peter 2:1-2 Nowadays, you often run into folks who reject some parts of the Bible (or misinterpret it) because of what they heard a false teacher say.

Exhorting One Another
Exhorting one another – Exhort means “to aid, help, comfort, encourage, and beseech.” In the world we live in with all its temptations and distractions to divert and pull us from our calling (1 Thessalonians 4:7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. ) every one of us needs exhortation to strive harder to stand firm.

Lasting Joy
The Lord in His wisdom has brought me back to the unemployment line and as of this writing I am again out of a job. My first thoughts were, “God is in control, I have nothing to worry about.” It was just a little over two months ago that I had lost my job and in two weeks the Lord had blessed me with another job closer to home! I was filled with confidence that He would have me working again in a short matter of time. But as the days go by, reality starts tapping me on the shoulder as I spend hours scouring the internet for Architectural firms to send my resume to. I go to interviews and days later, sit looking at the phone waiting for it to ring.
